As part of the “Academy of Young Explorers” project, new experiments have been
developed that can be presented in lower- and upper-secondary schools, as well as
during classes with children. We would like to present the ideas and solutions that we
use. The aim of these experiments is to broaden the pupils’ knowledge of physics and
to convince them that physics is a useful field of science that has much to do with
engineering and the world surrounding us.

Seven experiments to enliven physics lessons or seminars and hobby groups (centrifugal force, shooting into wooden blocks, Brownian motion, equilibrium state, energy of a spring, Faraday cage, electromagnetic induction)

This contribution describes self-explanatory experiments specialized in heat effect of a current flow, and in dependence of the wire resistance on its temperature.

Measuring of mechanical and other properties of a CD, simple experiments with a CD (13 guides in total). A description of some parts of a CD-ROM and eight related experiments.

The paper describes 13 more or less known experiments using simple equipment.
